TOM ZUK - Contemporary art

Following graduation in 1973 with a BA in Religious Studies, I worked for four years for several construction companies in Atlanta and Ithaca, N.Y., before returning to graduate school to study architecture. I received an MArch in 1980 and worked in a series of architecture offices until 2005. Since then, I’ve concentrated on developing painting techniques and experimentation with mixed media to this day.

I’ve always enjoyed spending time in both cities and the natural environment. The contrasts between urban life's noisy vitality and nature's quiet solitude solicit a desire to interpret these experiences visually.
